In the spirit of this year's theme "The Sweet Side of Leadership", we are modeling our programming guidelines after the infamous characters of Candy Land the board game. See below for the fun! Sessions will be 50 minutes long. Please plan to take up the entire session time for your program. Information to help you brainstorm:

Residence Hall Association/College Council Members
Residential Life Staff
Student Organization Leaders.
Pillars of the Conference:
Plumpy
The Gingerbread Plum Tree Caretaker is tasked with gathering the fallen fruit as it was ripe upon hitting the ground.
Topic Areas: community building, how to welcome students, planning for the first six weeks of school, keeping up the momentum.
Grandma Nutt
Loves to experiment with creating new types of magic for her peanuts. You will always have fun with Gramma Nutt!
Topic Areas: supervision/advising, best practices for trying new ways of leading.
Lord Licorice
Described as having a heart "as hard as rock candy" and frequently trying to take over Candy Land.
Topic Areas: handling crisis management, navigating conflict as a student/supervisor/advisor, overcoming difficult situations.
Princess Frostine
Described as being kind and wise, not feeling at all threatened by Lord Licorice as Candy Land will always shine in it's full glory once more.
Topic Areas: best practices for self care, how to best mentor and be supportive.
Mr. Mint
Is shown to be optimistic and fun loving, to the point of not worrying about arriving on time.
Topic Areas: effective program planning.
